We do not yet know what the Spring season will look like or if we'll be able to have one, however we're moving forward with player registration in order to sign up our teams with the Northern California Junior Lacrosse Association (NCJLA). We encourage all returning and first-time players to REGISTER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE in order to secure a spot on the teams.
Given the uncertainties with the pandemic, we anticipate three possibilities for the upcoming spring season.
1) Regular season including home and away games with teams from other programs. This may include potential game modifications to team/field size.
2) Restricted season with teams holding regular practices without games against other programs. This may include potential inter-squad scrimmages within the Sonoma Youth Lacrosse League.
3) No season.
We are asking for $100 registration fee deposit with the balance due next year depending on if there is a full Regular Season (Option #1). The registration fees vary by age group and are listed below with each team's registration details. This deposit would also cover the full costs for the Restricted Season (Option #2). If there is no season and we are unable to hold practices - we will refund the entire $100 registration deposit. Payment can be made by credit card at the time of registration.
Players of all abilities are encouraged to participate. It is very common for teams to have a number of players that have never played lacrosse before, so please don't consider any lacrosse experience a prerequisite for participation.
All participants must be members of US Lacrosse through May 31, 2021.If your player does not have a current membership, or if their membership expires during the season for which you are registering, you will automatically be redirected to the US Lacrosse website to update your membership status. The non-refundable cost of $30 per year is paid directly to US Lacrosse. https://www.uslacrosse.org/
We also require signed copies of the UNCLAD Player Code of Conduct and NCJLA Parent Code of Conduct be on file before your player may participate.
Practices will start in early February. Practices will generally be held after school and on weekends. Practice days, times and locations are determined by the coaches, and will be communicated in January.
All players must have their own equipment. We have a limited number of full equipment sets available for rental for the Spring season. There is no cost for the rental but there is a deposit which will be returned to you when the equipment is returned in good shape at the end of the season.
Girls equipment - deposit $120 mouth guard stick, goggles.
Boys equipment – deposit $175 - helmet, stick, shoulder pads, arm pads, gloves, mouth guard, cup
The maximum number of players for any team is anticipated to be approximately 25 players. Participation on this team is on a first come basis.
We kindly ask that every family participate in their child's lacrosse experience.
